Detailed description of contract: The dam incorporates an earth fill right flank section, a 70m long, 33m height RCC crest spillway, a RCC non-overspill left flank, an 18m long outlet block on the right flank next to the spillway. Energy dissipation at the spillway will be obtained by both the 1m high steps on the downstream face of the spillway and a 6m long hydraulic jump stilling basin

Any additional information that may be of interest: Group Five was approached by Sedgman to assist on the Atcom East CHPP Project, as they were not to intrigued by the performance of the other contractor. The scope consists of demolition and reinstallation of piping in Module 1 of the Coal Handling Processing Plant. The piping is lined with Basalt to ensure durability and life span. The Basalt lined piping weights 3 times that of Normal Schedule 40 Piping, and everything is installed via manual hand rigging.
